The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the company stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published more than 40 books in total, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
