FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
