An American-Palestinian youth having endured a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges gained freedom.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old when he was arrested last February throughout the West Bank territory, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

American diplomatic officials said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.

Mohammed, now 16, was taken to hospital right after being freed, family members reported.

Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.

Through an official statement, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Right now, our priority is getting Mohammed urgent medical care he needs after being subjected to mistreatment by authorities and inhumane conditions for months."

American authorities announced ongoing to extend consular services for the Ibrahim family.

{"US government authorities has no higher priority to the protection and welfare of US citizens"," the department emphasized.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to US authorities and the administration, urging greater action for his freedom.

Mohammed's parent, with four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.

The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively what had happened to him through judicial records.

Mohammed was held lacking indictment in Ofer prison on the West Bank.

It is also home to mature inmates, featuring prisoners sentenced of serious terrorism offences and murder.

Approximately several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Many have never been charged while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, say some have suffered physical abuse and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating demanding accountability for their family member family member Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian per medical officials died from beating by settlement residents during a confrontation last July.

Initially, the Israeli military said they were examining reports a Palestinian civilian had died.

Both young men collaborated in the family ice cream shop from Tampa.

No one has been charged with Sayfollah's killing.

"We demand United States leadership to protect our families," the uncle stated.
